Tyrone Williams

Tyrone Williams (born March 26, 1970 in Halifax, Nova Scotia) was one of the first Canadians to make the jump from Canadian Univeristy play to the NFL.

After being drafted by Arizona in the ninth round of the 1992 draft, he went on to win two Super Bowl rings as a member of the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII, though he did not participate in either game (he was shuttled between the practice squad and the main roster, but rarely saw the field).

Williams played basketball and football at Nova Scotia’s Queen Elizabeth High School. He went on to attend the University of Western Ontario, winning the Vanier Cup as a member of the Mustangs football team, the only North American football player to win a Vanier Cup ring and a Super Bowl ring.
