Since 1997 the NFL has enlisted the help of its greatest stars to help build the game of football around the world.

These football "Ambassadors" get the opportunity to share their enthusiasm for the game, and to contribute to its bright future from Canada to Europe to Asia.

Dan Marino, Eddie George, Doug Flutie, Ronnie Lott, Jeff Garcia and Warren Moon have all served as NFL Ambassadors in Canada. Each has spent time meeting Canadian fans, encouraging young Canadians, and speaking with NFL partners and Canadian media.

Most recently, former NFL stars Dan Marino and Jim Kelly have helped raise money for NFL Canada’s charitable partners and celebrated Canadian grassroots football. Canada’s own Jesse Palmer (Giants/49ers), Kerry Carter (Seahawks/Redskins) and Israel Idonije (Bears) have also made surprise visits to high school and flag football games in Canadian communities to show support for the league’s efforts to create a new generation of fans and players.
