Windsor's Romberg signs with Rams

Windsor, Ontario native Brett Romberg has been signed by the St. Louis Rams.

The move came after St. Louis put Centre Andy McCollum on the injured reserve list with a torn left anterior cruciate ligament and medial cruciate ligament. McCollum was hurt Sunday against the Broncos.

Romberg spent most of the last three seasons on the Jaguars practice roster, under the tutelage of current Rams offensive line coach Paul Boudreau.

Romberg was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Miami in 2003. The six-foot-three 293-pound former CJFL star with the Windsor Fratmen won the Rimington Award as the best U.S. college centre as a senior.
