Glory Days

Buffalo Bills legends from the 90s -- Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, Ray Bentley, Steve Tasker & Steve Christie will help the 2008 Bills, the Buffalo Jills, Canadian Rock Band Hedley & Steelers great Jerome Bettis kickoff the Bills Toronto Series.

The event, called the Samsung Bills Toronto Kickoff Party will offer Toronto’s football fans the chance to be a part of history, participating in a free football festival and welcome rally designed to welcome the Buffalo Bills to their Northern home.

The Bills take on the Steelers at Rogers Centre the following day, August 14, 2008, at 7:30 p.m.

Among the Bills alumni participating in the event, QB Jim Kelly and RB Thurman Thomas are Hall of Famers. WR Andre Reed will likely become a Hall of Famer, and special teams ace Steve Tasker might become one as well. Also participating are the Bills all-time leading scorer (and native Canadian) Steve Christie and run-stopping specialist LB Ray Bentley.

Steelers Fan Favourite RB Jerome Bettis will also participate.

The event will take place Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto.

The Free Football Festival (including NFL QB Challenge, Xbox 360/EA Sports Madden terminals, a chicken wing eating contest, NFL Films and a biggest Bills fan contest) runs from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The 2008 Buffalo Bills welcomed on-stage at 8:15 p.m, after live interviews with the alumni.

Canadian Rock Band Hedley performs free concert at 9:00 p.m.
