NFL Rookies to lead high school practice

The Buffalo Bills Rookie Club (First-year players on the roster and practice squad) makes numerous appearances throughout the season and enables the team's newest players to get involved in and learn about the communities where their fans live.

The Bills Rookies will lead a practice for the Lawrence Park Panthers – one of Toronto’s most historic football programs -- and deliver $3,000 in new equipment on behalf of NFL Canada and the Bills.

Rookie Club members include offensive linemen Eric Wood, Andy Levitre and Nick Hennessey, defensive backs Jairus Byrd, Cary Harris and Ellis Lankster, defensive end Aaron Maybin, linebackers Nic Harris and Ashlee Palmer, long snapper Garrison Sanborn and tight end Shawn Nelson.

The appearance continues the NFL’s long tradition of supporting football coaches and programs in Canada. Since 1997, the NFL Youth Coach of the Year program has contributed more than $130,000 in equipment to coaches who positively impact young players and volunteer their time.

The appearance will take place on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, 11:30 a.m.
