Windsor's Atogwe on IR

The St. Louis Rams placed safety O.J. Atogwe on injured reserve Wednesday December 9.

Atogwe suffered a shoulder injury while tackling the Bears' Matt Forte in St. Louis' 17-9 loss to last Sunday.

Head coach Steve Spagnuolo told the Sports Network in St. Louis on Monday that Atogwe has a "labral tear and a little bit of cartilage damage" but said it's not known if the safety will have surgery.

Atogwe, who played amateur football in Windsor with the OVFL Essex Ravens, was enjoying an outstanding season with 84 tackles, two interceptions, three passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries for the 1-11 Rams.

Atogwe was in his fifth season with the Rams after a successful academic and athletic collegiate career at Stanford.
