Here we are, a third of the way into the NFL season, and the following are my flawless, bulletproof and indisputable observations:

The 2007 New England Patriots are the best team ever. What the hell, I might as well be the first one to start that sentiment.

Division winners will be:

AFC- New England, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, San Diego. I’m way out on a limb with those ones. Wild cards are Jacksonville and Cleveland.

NFC- N.Y. Giants, Tampa Bay, Detroit, Arizona. Wild cards are Dallas and Green Bay.

Don’t bother objecting to my predictions. They are iron clad locks!

Here’s another brilliant prediction… look for quarterbacks to continue playing into their 40s in the near future, barring severe injuries. With today’s training, nutrition and medicine, it is inevitable.

It’s funny how so called malcontents seem to become model teammates in New England. Were they misjudged originally or did they turn a new leaf upon arrival?

I have to admit, I’m not much of a fan of watching men dance (end zone celebrations) but I did enjoy some of the more creative post touch down celebrations. However if they don’t include your teammates or if your team’s getting smacked around, it’s doesn’t play to well. Check the Bengals.

From what I’ve observed, Randy Moss is the most physically gifted man to ever play the wide receiver position. Of course physical gifts don’t always translate into greatness. When Moss is at his best, he is the best.

I really enjoy seeing franchises that have been downtrodden turn things around. I’ve always been a sucker for an underdog. I’ve realized that more about myself after retiring. I think I get my greatest joy as a fan, from seeing David beat Goliath. However, that doesn’t include my teams (Bills and Sabres) I always want them to win. Speaking of which, the Sabres beat the Maple Leafs 5-4 in over time Monday night in Buffalo. It was the most exciting regular season Sabres game I have been to. Sorry to rub it in.
